A study program that offers a fund of common sense to all students of jazz improvisation, regardless of their instrument. In a world stacked high with codified and homogenised information on ‘how to improvise and become musically relevant’ (mostly from educators who have never actually worked at the ‘coal-face of creative music’), the true values are often hard to find. It can be likened to taking flying lessons from a person that’s never been off the ground!
Opportunities to pick up first-hand information from the acknowledged masters of the craft, such as Barney Kessel, are rapidly disappearing. It just doesn't get better than this, so why not jump in and get your feet wet? |
