Apart from “In The Royal Hawaiian Hotel”, “Royal Hawaiian Hotel Hula” and a few of the 1935 commercial releases included in earlier Cumquat packages, this set documents the Harmony Hawaiians first 1934 sessions and the remainder of their 1935 output.

Several of these titles, which were re-recorded as radio transcriptions in 1941 appeared on Vol.7 – the versions heard here are the originals from six years earlier. Our soundclip is from “I Want To Learn To Speak Hawaiian”.
