In this, the fifth volume of our on-going CD tribute to this remarkable steel guitarist (and his associates), we focus upon his best-known commercial releases.  The music on these recordings represented many of the best-loved and most-played Hawaiian hits of the late '30s and early '40s. 

These recordings clearly demonstrate how Dick McIntire's sensitivity, touch and tone raised the level of steel guitar playing to unprecedented heights.  Dick McIntire (along with his Harmony Hawaiians) was instrumental in perfecting a musical genre that captured the hearts and minds of romantics around the world.
