'Swing Fever' features Melbourne's leading full-size swing band under the direction of saxophonist Ted White, a musician who has kept the jazz sparks flying in London, Brisbane, Sydney & more recently in Melbourne.  

This beautifully recorded set reveals the orchestra (currently known as 'The Downbeat Big Band') at its best.  Throughout its six-year lifespan the DBB has maintained a balanced blend of young lions performing alongside some of best, musically toughest, characters in the business.  A real school of hard knocks!  If you're into modern day Big Bands get in quick, because musicians and writing of this calibre are rapidly disappearing - and once they've gone, so has the music!
