Recorded in 1960, Rockin' Like Wow! Dad is a landmark album with an unusual background story.  A bunch of professional performers, somewhat bemused by the popularity of this new-fangled rock 'n roll and thinking it was just a passing fad that could never last, asked themselves: "How hard can it be and why don't we give it a go?"

So, a few zany arrangements and recording sessions later, when "The Rockers" had done their twangy, rocky, best to create an album that they thought was a sort of good-natured send-up of this popular new music, something really weird happened -- the public took it seriously and bought it!   Once heard, never forgotten, Rockin' Like Wow! has made the transition from LP to CD and rocks on!
